01
Uru
Set above the Cynosure racetrack, this map takes place within a massive dish-shaped arena featuring a central temple that cuts through the environment with tunnels and grand halls. Once again, the symmetrical layout complements our gameplay style perfectly.
02
The Layout
Our team wanted to mix things up with a semi-symmetrical design. While the overall structure still keeps some symmetry, I broke it up with three distinct starting zones—each featuring its own unique art and layout—and grand halls that vary in shape and style. The primary symmetry now comes from players converging at the central area to drop off their kills.

03
The sand
The blue sand found on IOKI—the home world of both Uru and Cynosure—is unlike anything else on the planet. Flowing almost like liquid, it’s said to be part of the planet’s very lifeblood. While ordinary sand covers much of the surface, the blue sand carries a strange vitality, pulsing faintly with the energy that sustains IOKI itself.
04
Starting Zones
Each starting zone features its own distinct layout and art style, helping to break away from the perfectly symmetrical maps we’d created before. This approach adds variety and gives each area its own sense of identity and atmosphere.

05
Original versions
The original design was meant to take place in a much larger, grander arena. With two opposing teams, the game mode would have leaned more toward Battlefield than Halo—featuring ship-based combat and capture-the-flag-style objectives. However, given our small team size, we decided to scale back and focus on a tighter, more manageable arena at least for the near future, larger map is still scope.
06
Tufa
Another starting zone features its own distinct art style—this one overtaken by an alien infection that has begun to consume the area. The corruption is spreading through the stone walls of the temple, carving its way deeper into the structure.
